The Google Docs viewer that allows you to view .pdf, .ppt, and .tiff files in your browser now supports Microsoft Word file formats .doc and .docx. Editions include Standard, Premier, Education and Partner Editions. The Google Docs viewer supports all languages supported by Gmail. So, from now on, no need to download and save your document attachments in Gmail. With one click you can open and edit Microsoft Word files online.
If you received an e-mail with a Microsoft Word file as attachment, simply click the "View" link below the name of attachment and the viewer will open it right within your browser. To edit the document online click "Edit online" link. And of course you can use the "Download" link to download and save the file in your hard disk.
