Skype shares 8 percent of all International Calls

According to TeleGeography, a communications research firm, in 2008 about 8% of international calls were made through Skype, the internet-based telephone service. So, only five years after its launch, Skype has emerged as the largest provider of cross-border voice communications in the world.
