Microsoft to spend 100 million on Bing

Microsoft is expected to unveil a new version of its Internet search engine this week. And according to some sources, Microsoft is planning to spend up to 100 million US dollars on a multimedia advertising campaign for the new search engine, named Bing.

Microsoft releases 3 patches for 8 vulnerabilities

On Tuesday Microsoft released it’s March security update with one “critical” and two “important” patches for eight vulnerabilities.  With the security update, Microsoft has also released an updated version of the Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool (MSRT) on Windows Update, Microsoft Update, Windows Server Update Services, and the Download Center.

Microsoft offers $250000 reward to find Conficker creator

Software giant Microsoft have announced a reward of $250000 to anyone who gives information leading to the arrest and conviction of the creator of the Conficker worm. The reward is for “information that results in the arrest and conviction of those responsible for illegally launching the Conficker malicious code on the Internet,” the software giant said in a statement.
