Smart phone users beware! Just like personal computers, smart mobile phones are also vulnerable to attack by malicious software, or malware and a compromised smart phone may lead to some serious consequences, Rutgers University researchers warns. Software giant Microsoft have announced a reward of $250000 to anyone who gives information leading to the arrest and conviction of the creator of the Conficker worm. The reward is for “information that results in the arrest and conviction of those responsible for illegally launching the Conficker malicious code on the Internet,” the software giant said in a statement.

According to BitDefender, a new malware is targeting Firefox users to steal sensitive credentials such as bank passwords. Termed as Trojan.PWS.ChromeInject.A, the malware enters a compromised computer through under malware and resides in Firefox’s add-ons folder. After installation, it runs every time Firefox browser is started.
