MSI launches X-Slim X600 Pro notebook

Taiwan-based notebook vendor Micro-Star International (MSI) has released its newest large-screen notebook model – the X-Slim X600 Pro. The X-Slim X600 Pro notebook computer perfectly integrates ultra-thin concepts, style, beautiful design and power-saving performance. It features the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processor, the new Microsoft Windows 7 operating system, and the ATi Mobility Radeon HD 4330 discrete graphics card with 512MB VRAM.

The MSI X-Slim Series 15.6" high grade X600 Pro notebook computer follows the X-Slim Series use of graceful and nimble arched curves, with an overall thickness of only 2.5 cm and a total weight of 2.1kg with 6-cell battery. Its exterior features an even greater degree of subdued elegance, with the upper lid treated with Color Film Print Technology and hand placement areas treated with a special, luminous scratch-resistant coating. The X600 Pro is the first notebook computer to use MSI’s new and distinctive Chiclet keyboard. An independent keyboard design and an increased degree of comfort prevent incorrect key strikes and reduce keyboard noise, providing a smooth keyboarding experience.

In addition, the ATi Mobility Radeon HD 4330 high-grade 3D discrete graphics card with 512MB VRAM coupled with a 16:9, LED backlit glossy 15.6" display produces remarkable colors, detailed image quality, and extremely life-like, multi-layered visual effects. The X600 Pro has a built-in HDMI interface that is capable of transferring 5GB of video bandwidth and that provides life-like and crisp image quality. When paired with a Blu-Ray player, high resolution HD images can be sent to a large-screen TV for viewing. With 4 SRS Premium Sound™ certified hi-fi speakers, watching movies or listening to music gives instantaneous pleasure.

The MSI X-Slim X600 Pro has built-in 802.11 b/g/n high speed WLAN for convenient and anytime wireless internet communication and Bluetooth to link to mobile phones, headphones, microphones, and PDAs. Another interesting feature of the X600 Pro is its optional built-in WiMAX wireless internet module, which increases wireless notebook bandwidth service applications and opens up a new era of high speed, mobile broadband services.

The X-Slim X600 Pro features the latest ultra-thin lithium polymer battery, which with Intel’s ultra-thin, power-saving dual processor gives ultra-long battery life. Also, MSI’s exclusive ECO Engine technology lets you select from 5 different power management modes: Gaming, Movie, Presentation, Document, and Turbo Battery to automatically adjust display brightness, power, sleep settings, and processor performance settings to provide best solutions for battery life and effective extension of battery endurance.

    This laptop’s design is so good it almost beats apple macs! Not sure about the performance though – I haven’t had a chance to test any MSI laptops.
