Using Potplayer Time Jump Keys:
Time jumping in Potplayer is controlled by four different keys or shortcuts. They are: Left/Right Arrow Keys, Ctrl+Left / Right Arrow Keys, Shift + Left / Right Arrow Keys and Ctrl + Alt + Left / Right Arrow Keys. The default time jump settings allows you to jump to 5 seconds with Left / Right Arrow Keys; 30 seconds with Ctrl + Left / Right Arrow Keys; 60 seconds with Shift + Left / Right Arrow Keys and 300 seconds with Ctrl + Alt + Left / Right Arrow. Use these keys during a video / audio playback and easily rewind or forward to specific time.
How to modify Potplayer time jump duration?
You can change the default time jump duration by following these steps:
- Open Potplayer settings (Click on the top left corner and select Preferences from the menu or use keyboard shortcut F5).
- In the left menu, find Playback section and open Time Jump.
- Under the Time Jump settings, you’ll notice four different jump periods or duration. Modify them with your preferred values. Example: set 10 seconds for Left/Right Arrow Keys.
- Once you are satisfied with your settings, press the OK button. Restart Potplayer, open a media file and test the newly set jump duration.
