It is no doubt that Google’s Gmail is one of the most popular free web-based email services available today. So, with the help of this new feature, you will be able to talk with your friends face to face right from you Gmail account!

Gmail Voice and Video Chat

How to use it? In order to use this new voice and video chat feature, all you have to do is download and install a small browser plugin for Gmail, which will work on both PCs and Macs. Once you install the plugin, go to the Chat section of your Gmail, select the contact you want to call. If they have a camera icon next to their name, you can make a voice or video call to them. To start a video chat, just click on the “Video & more” menu at the bottom of your Gmail chat window, and choose “Start video chat.”

If your friend doesn’t have a camera next to their name in your chat list, you can always invite them to download the official voice and video chat plug-in from the Video & more menu in a chat window. And if your friend doesn’t have a video camera, you can still make a voice call or a 1-way video call. Interesting! Isn’t it? Get a cool camera for yourself and start using today!
