WordPress problem: FeedBurner is not showing full RSS feed even after Full text feed is enabled in WordPress. This is a common problem and normally occurs after you change your WordPress settings to show “Full text” feed instead of “Summary” or post excerpts. Looking for a solution to this problem? How to get back full text content on your FeedBurner feed? Don’t worry! There is an easy solution. Read on to know more.
This problem is actually related to Google FeedBurner, not WordPress. So, forget about tweaking WordPress files and open your Feedburner account. You need to modify something inside your account. Follow the steps below and get back your full text feed.
How to enable FeedBurner full text RSS feed?
-
Login to your Google FeedBurner account.
-
Select your RSS feed and go to the feed dashboard.
-
Click the Edit Feed Details… link on your feed dashboard.
-
Change the original feed link by adding ‘rss2‘ in the end. For example, if your original feed was http://www.example.com/feed/, change it to http://www.example.com/feed/rss2
-
Click the Save Feed Details button and enjoy your full text RSS feed (for help, take a look at the screenshot).
Note: Here, I assume that you have already enabled “Full text” feed from your WordPress dashboard. If not, do it first and then modify the original feed link in FeedBurner.

Eric, Clinton and Linda,
Thanks for your comments. Did you tried your feeds on a RSS feed reader such as Google Reader? If not, add your RSS feed to your favorite feed reader and view once again. May be it is already showing full feed!
Full feed may not always appear on web browser.
Thanks

Mine wasn’t working either until i realized that my Summary in Feedburner was activated. To deactivate, go to Optimize>Summary Burner then deactivate. Once I did that, it started working right away.

Well. . I tried this and the wordpress setting and I keep getting the strangest results in my newsletters. They will come out with the first post of the day with full text, but the rest are missing all text, they are just headers. Then for the next few weeks they are fine. Suggestions?

THANK YOU!!! This fixed my feed. I wish I’d found this first instead of hunting around for over an hour trying to fix this!

My coder is trying to convince me to move to .
net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of
the expenses. But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using WordPress on a variety of websites
for about a year and am worried about switching to another platform.
I have heard fantastic things about blogengine.
net. Is there a way I can import all my wordpress posts into
it? Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated!
