Nov 26, 2008

Sony Ericsson has just launched new web-centric panels for it’s Xperia™ X1 multimedia phone. For this Sony Ericsson has teamed up with the popular social networking site Facebook and Microsoft Windows Live. The all new Facebook and Windows Live panels now joins the existing connectivity panel from Dashwire, that allows users to synchronize the phone content to the web and share it to a range of popular social networking sites.

The new Facebook application will deliver an intuitive version of the popular social networking site. Now, you can put images of your friends onto the phone’s desktop and view the latest status updates of your friends by touching their images. This new feature also supports simple and fast upload of photos to Facebook.

On the other hand, the Windows Live panel will help Xperia™ X1 users instantly bring their existing Windows Live contacts and features to their phone. The Windows Live panel uses existing Windows Live ID to synchronize contacts held in the X1’s phone book. With this panel you will be able to access an intuitive Microsoft messenger interface, including Hotmail, Live Search and Live Messenger.

The Facebook, Windows Live and Dashwire panels are available for free download via the Xperia™ X1’s on-board downloader and from the Sony Ericsson website.
