Apple on Tuesday, removed their recommendation about use of antivirus software. Earlier a note posted on their support site urged Mac users to go for an anti-virus program for online safety. This is for Mac users. Apple now recommends the use of anti-virus software for your online safety. Apple made this recommendation in the form of a note posted on it’s support site. The note, posted on November 21, says:
“Apple encourages the widespread use of multiple antivirus utilities so that virus programmers have more than one application to circumvent, thus making the whole virus writing process more difficult.”

Mozilla on Wednesday released security and stability update for Firefox 2.0 and Firefox 3.0. These two updates includes several critical bug fixes and Mozilla recommends all Firefox users upgrade to this latest release.

Microsoft on Thursday issued an emergency security update to fix a critical bug in its Windows operating system, which could be exploited by attackers to take over individual and corporate computers.
