How to use Android File Transfer?

  1. Get the application from the download link below
  2. Double-click on the file name androidfiletransfer.dmg. Installer will appear. Drag Android File Transfer to Applications.
  3. Connect your Android device to the Mac computer (via USB).
  4. Double-click Android File Transfer to open it the first time. You’ll be able to access files and folder on the Android device. Do whatever you wanted to do.

Note: After you started the Android File Transfer once, it will open automatically whenever the Android device is connected to the computer.

System Requirements:

Android File Transfer supports Mac OS X version 10.5 or later. And your mobile device must run Android 3.0 or later.

    I just got a new MacBook pro and Android File Transfer does not work. It doesn’t recognize that my phone is plugged in. I have tried plugging it into a USB hub and also directly to the computer’s USB-c port, using an adapter.
